Poyraz had a vibrant high school experience filled with remarkable opportunities that shaped his passion for music. He had the chance to tour New Orleans, immersing himself in the rich culture and history of jazz. Additionally, playing with the Delfayo Marsalis Band was a highlight, showcasing his talent and dedication. Through his interactions with fellow students, Poyraz was introduced to the thriving jazz and metal scenes in Chicago at a young age, forming friendships that have and continue to fuel his musical journey.

San Francisco Conservatory
Poyraz is currently attending the San Francisco Conservatory, where he is pursuing a degree in jazz drum-set performance. His education is not only enhancing his drum-set skills through the guidance of renowned professors, Matt Wilson and Akira Tana, but is also helping him bring theoretically informed ideas into his metal songs. This fusion of jazz theory and metal creates a unique sound that sets Poyraz apart as an artist. He is excited to explore this innovative musical journey and continue developing his craft at the conservatory.
